Executive Head Chef
Our head chef Bradshaw follows two personal philosophies in his approach to food: simplicity and creativity.
Hailing from a family of food lovers, Bradshaw was raised in Cape Town, South Africa, where family meals drew influence from the cuisine of Cape Malay, which boasts plenty of bold, vibrant flavours, and loads of attitude.
With more than a decade’s experience in retail and hospitality, Bradshaw cooks with his senses and lets the ingredients speak for themselves.
“I work with one rule
– keep it simple.”
Head of Coffee Operations
Head barista Joao is no ordinary coffee fiend. Born and raised in Portugal, a culture that believes coffee is about spending time with other people, Joao understands the power of a brew to bring a community together.
For him, coffee is about more than just the bean – the milk, the service, the presentation and the interaction are all crucial ingredients in delivering the perfect cup.
And he doesn’t just make it. Joao is a three-time UK Barista Championship finalist and public speaker, and has led masterclasses for students eager to learn how to brew top-quality coffee themselves.
“Coffee is more than
just the bean.”
Resident Latte Artist
Tia, as she is known in Elan, is one of the first baristas to join our team. She is our top specialist and resident latte artist.
Tia is able to create images on lattes of everything from pandas to forest landscapes by using steamed milk and because of this unique skill she has become a National Latte Art competition finalist in the U.K.
“Love what you do
and you will never work
a day in your life.”
